SBTengine Work flow

Analyzing your sequence files with SBTengine is straightforward and is performed in three main steps.

1. Define a name and a HLA locus for your sequence files.
This action is performed in the Sample Management window. To facilitate this process, automatic naming is also possible. The settings that control this process are found under Preferences in the File menu.

2. Analyze the sample in the Sequence Overview window.

3.
Approve the allele assignment, view the typing results in the Typing Result window and print a report.

After approval, the typing results are exported to an XML file. This file can be used to import sample and allele assignment information into various software programs for further processing. SBTengine can create a report for all approved loci on the Typing Result tab, which can be imported in your favorite word processor (e.g. Microsoft Word) to create a report letter for the clinic. Alternatively, the sample and allele assignment information can be transferred directly to a database management system (e.g. HistoTrac) that encompasses all medical information of the patient. This way you have maximum flexibility regarding the data generated.
