Start new project

 

You can start a new project in 3 different ways:

  • Choose 'Start new project' in the welcome screen
  • Go to 'File' > 'New Project'
  • Ctrl + N

 

New project wizard appears

  • A message appears, suggesting to create the items in C:\Users\[you]\Documents\NGSengine\My Project\
  • Give the desired name to the project. All folders necessary for sample management will be created automatically. Each new project has to have a unique name. If a project name already exists, NGSengine will give a warning and it will not be possible to continue, the 'next button' will be disabled.
  • Click 'Next'
  • Click 'Add data folder'
  • Browse to the desired data folder location, select the folder that contains the data (not the data files themselves) and click 'OK. It is possible to add multiple data folders from different locations to the same project by repeating this step
  • Click 'Next'
  • Click 'Finish'


If NGSengine should directly start analysing all data, then first check the 'Start analysis now' checkbox and then click 'Finish'

Then the overview appears.


An alternative manner for adding data folders is by dragging the folder to the Data folders window in the side bar.
