It is possible in KMRengine to perform sample monitoring without genotyping the sample in advance. If you know that an assay is informative for your sample, you can designate its informative status and then use it as you normally would.


In order to use this feature of KMRengine:


1. Enter all the information necessary about the Recipient and the Donor samples. 

2. Choose an appropriate Reference Sample.

3. Enter information related to the Post Sample(s) being tested.

4. In the Informative Markers section, click the "Custom" button (on the right side of the title).

5. When this button is clicked, a window opens with all markers available for assignment.



                                             



6. The drop down menus allow the user to assign the sample for which the marker is informative.

7. Once the marker(s) have been assigned, click ok.


Now the markers are selectable for the sample in the Informative Markers window.

KMRengine will save this information, so it only has to be entered once for a given sample.
