Quality Values

The increasing number of alleles gives rise to more and more near-matches for a typing result. Therefor, the list of crucial postions that needs to be checked becomes bigger and bigger. SBTengine can use quality values for the crucial positions to filter the number of crucial positions to be checked.

By activating the check box "Quality Value < 70" in the Filters section, only crucial postions are shown that have a quality value lower then 70. In the images below this means a reduction from 124 to 33 crucial positions te be checked.

Activating and setting Quality Value Filter
The Quality Value Filter can be activated (by clicking the check box) in the "Quality Value filtering" tab under the"File", "Preferences" menu (see image below). One can set a different quality value treshold by entering a new value in the "New treshold" box. Any value between 70 and 100 can be used. The higher the value, the more crucial positions need to be checked.
