Do you want to be part of an innovative company that offers ample room for development? To strengthen our team, we offer a challenging position for a decisive and knowledge-driven Project Manager R&D Software, who can translate technological advancements into innovative software solutions for molecular diagnostics.

At GenDx, the Project Manager R&D Software  plays a key role in driving innovation. Motivated by the ambition to make molecular diagnostics faster, easier and more accurate, you will lead the development of software tools that truly make a difference in the field of transplantation. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing both technical expertise and guidance to colleagues and customers alike. With your proactive leadership, you will guide the R&D Software team toward delivering tangible value for users and ultimately improving outcomes for transplant patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of both new and existing software products.
• Translate technological advancements and research findings into valuable product solutions for molecular diagnostics.
• Prepare and manage comprehensive product documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to GenDx colleagues and clients.
• Coordinate and support the R&D Software team, including software developers and bioinformaticians.
• Ensure compliance with IVDR guidelines and quality standards (ISO 13485 and IEC 62304).

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of software development and the software development cycle.
• Familiarity with immunology, particularly the HLA gene family, is preferred.
• Strong skills in project management, analysis and presenting technical information.
• Experience with managing people is a major plus.
• Experience with IVDR and ISO 13485 and IEC 62304 is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Based within, or willing to relocate to, a commutable distance from Utrecht Science Park.
• Please note: you must be legally authorized to live and work in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
